Twice as nice: Combine Sedona wedding locations

Having trouble deciding between an easy/gentle access wedding site for guests and a hiking adventure with photos of your dreams? You don’t have to! As Sedona wedding officiants, we have performed many Sedona weddings at an easier location for guests, and then watch our couple float away with their photographer to for a remote location for epic photos. We are so lucky to work with photographers that are fit and ready for adventure. Here are some of our favorite site combinations for your special day:

1) Lover’s Knoll and Secret Slick Rock.

In this wedding our Sedona wedding officiant performed the ceremony at Lovers Knoll – a great choice for gentle access, with just a little hill leading to panoramic views. After the wedding ceremony, license signing (and lots of hugs!), the couple took off with Sedona wedding photographer Bon Miller for Secret Slick Rock, catching some major sky drama!

2) Huckabee and Merry Go Round.

Want the convenience of true easy access for guests but still yearn for an iconic Sedona journey? This year we got to officiate at the lower end of Schnebly Hill road, with the couple then riding off into the sunset with Sedona wedding photographer Shannon from Stratus Adventure Photography.  Up, up they went in her high-clearance vehicle to Merry Go Round, where they enjoyed the photo shoot of their life . . .

3) Crescent Moon Ranch Park.

One of our favorite Sedona wedding venues due to the meadows and creek access, Crescent Moon Ranch offers it all. This precious couple included family for their ceremony in the true easy access meadow with Cathedral Rock in the background, then took off for a delightful hike and some playtime in the creek with Sedona wedding photographer Tamara Herrick from Every Emotion Photography. . .

4) Other options: Sedona chapel, lodging or venue followed by a red rock wedding photo shoot.

Another option sometimes overlooked by couples is choosing to have your wedding ceremony at your Sedona lodging, or at one of Sedona’s beautiful chapels or wedding venues. Sedona offers sweet chapels, and lodgings with gorgeous wedding options, and some rentals may allow ceremonies as well. And of course Agave of Sedona is our premier venue dedicated solely to Sedona weddings. We’ll be putting out blogs on these options as well. Have your wedding in comfort, and then leave your guests to start the party as you enjoy your photo shoot on the land.
